Residential Garbage Program

Recology Mountain View Garbage Cart Garbage collection is provided to customers that reside within the city limits of Mountain View. Customers are provided with a 20, 32, 64, or 96 gallon cart.

Place all waste inside your containers. Do not place waste materials on top, or next to your garbage cart. Overfilled toters will not be collected! You may dispose of occasional excess garbage by purchasing a $5 Extra Bag Tag. This tag is good for one 32-gallon garbage bag. Attach the tag to the bag, and place the bag on the ground next to your garbage cart. The tag must be visible to the driver. Tags may be purchased at any local Lucky, Nob Hill, Safeway, or Rite-Aid stores, the City Library or City Finance Department, or at Recology Mountain View (935 Terra Bella Avenue).
